Job Summary

SHI has an opportunity available in our Sales Support department as a Sales Support Programs Specialist. The Sales Support Programs Specialist works closely with SHI Management to support SHI Sales in two main areas, events and our diversity initiative. The individual will Oversee & Support events at our SHI HQ/NJ Campus and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Solutions, Training, and numerous internal departments to insure success. In addition, will assist in the creation and distribution of marketing material and schedule local events for SHI Sales participation among other tasks. This Position is full time at SHI HQ / NJ.

Responsibilities/Job Function

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Events Oversee & Support @ SHI HQ/NJ Campus Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Solutions, Training, and numerous internal departments to insure success Attend and oversee off hours Events when applicable Diversity initiative Assist in managing SHI Status: Minority Business (MBE) & Women Owned Business (WBE) Support WBENC, the NMSDC, NMBC, and all regional councils Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing material Schedule local events for SHI Sales participation Work closely with SHI Sales VPs & Directors, and SHI s Diversity Business Development Manager

Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required

Minimum 1 year with SHI in a Inside Sales/Outside Sales or Partner/Vendor support role Knowledge of SHI and how departments interact Adaptable with flexible hours ( 8:30AM 5:30PM or 9:00AM 6:00PM standard schedule however, some Events will require earlier/later hour support and coverage) Ability to travel locally (SHI NJ 4 Building Campus, weekly) and nationally (Annual Enterprise Sales & Diversity Events) Documented professionalism when engaging with customers and/or vendors Proficiency in MS office tools Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Proven Interpersonal skills including phone, email and face to face with customer Ability to effectively work independently, in a team environment, and under general supervision Organizational Excellence time management and prioritization skills Ability to self-motivate constantly focus/strive for suggested streamlining and improvements Preferred Skills: o Experience in Event Planningo Familiarity with SharePoint Team Sites; Shared Calendars; Content Creation
